Through the Holistic Learning Programs of the Whispering Seed, we explore holistic models of child-rearing, democratic models of living and learning together, natural healing techniques, new ways of sharing and learning knowledge.

1. Teacher Education Training for teachers from inside Burma (ethnic Shan, Mon & Karen)
2. Natural Child Development and Skills Training for Young Mothers
3. Alternative Education Film Festival in collaboration with Shikshantar from India
4. Assisting to build a Museum and Cultural Learning Center for Pwo Karen inside Tung Yai Narasuan Wildlife Sanctuary, a World Historical Site.
5. Conference and gatherings to support alternative, democratic models of learning
6. International Networking supporting alternative schools and children's homes
particularly in South and Southeast Asia
7. Library at Whispering Seed and mobile library to reach remote villages of Karen

 

Teacher Education Training for teachers from inside Burma

Library & Resource Center-we are in the process of starting a small library at the project focusing on international and multicultural children's books, alternative, holistic models of learning and child-rearing and sustainable ways of living.
